The Langdale Valley in the Lake District

Right in the center of the Lake District National Park and the World Heritage site is the Langdale Valley, often talked about as the most spectacular and beautiful in the area. Characterized by steep rolling hills at the start and steep craggy mountainsides towards the head Langdale is a spectcular place to visit at any time of year and remains largely unspoiled especially when venturing away from the single road that runs its length and onward to Little Langdale and Wrynose Pass.

Ever popular with walkers there are many low and high level places to explore with classic routes like Jackes Rake, the Langdale Pikes and many more awaiting those with a bit of time and inclination. On your travels
